In this assignment, students work in groups to identify non-voting forms of political participation and analyze which demographic groups are most likely to engage in each. They then present and defend their reasoning in a class-wide discussion, comparing patterns across identities. The activity deepens understanding of civic engagement beyond voting and encourages reflection on the inclusivity and accessibility of different forms of participation.
